Rhinoplasty can be planned in summer; the season alone does not determine suitability. What matters is allowing recovery time, sun protection and follow-up visits.
Heat may increase discomfort and the sensation of swelling. Use shade and skin protection approved by your surgeon. Seek individual advice about glasses pressing on the nose, swimming, flights and distant travel. Avoid compressing a holiday and surgical recovery into a tight schedule. There is no universal number of days: plan work and travel around the extent of surgery and healing.
The plan depends on the extent of surgery, skin, breathing and previous procedures. Consultation covers expectations, alternatives, bleeding, infection, scarring and possible further surgery. Recovery instructions must reflect your surgeon's individual plan.
Heavy bleeding, increasing pain with fever, visual changes or sudden deterioration require urgent assessment. Tell your surgeon about persistent concerns rather than waiting for the next routine appointment.
This information does not replace an individual consultation. Diagnosis and treatment depend on a medical assessment.
