Returning to glasses after rhinoplasty depends on whether the nasal bones were treated and how healing progresses. There is no fixed two- or three-month restriction for everyone; your surgeon should approve pressure on the bridge.
Frame weight can press on healing tissue. Contact lenses, when suitable, or supporting glasses without loading the nose may be discussed. A lightweight frame is not automatically safe. Apply the same assessment to prescription glasses and sunglasses.
The plan depends on the extent of surgery, skin, breathing and previous procedures. Consultation covers expectations, alternatives, bleeding, infection, scarring and possible further surgery. Recovery instructions must reflect your surgeon's individual plan.
Heavy bleeding, increasing pain with fever, visual changes or sudden deterioration require urgent assessment. Tell your surgeon about persistent concerns rather than waiting for the next routine appointment.
This information does not replace an individual consultation. Diagnosis and treatment depend on a medical assessment.
