Massage is not needed after every rhinoplasty. Use it only if your operating surgeon recommends and demonstrates a specific technique; there is no universal daily schedule.
The need depends on tissue, swelling and surgical technique. Trying to reshape bone by pressing at home can injure it. The surgeon sets timing, pressure and duration. Stop and seek advice with pain, bleeding or redness. Do not copy a video or another patient's instructions; taping and other care are also individual.
The plan depends on the extent of surgery, skin, breathing and previous procedures. Consultation covers expectations, alternatives, bleeding, infection, scarring and possible further surgery. Recovery instructions must reflect your surgeon's individual plan.
Heavy bleeding, increasing pain with fever, visual changes or sudden deterioration require urgent assessment. Tell your surgeon about persistent concerns rather than waiting for the next routine appointment.
This information does not replace an individual consultation. Diagnosis and treatment depend on a medical assessment.
