A spray cannot straighten the septum, but reducing associated allergic swelling may help breathing. An asymptomatic deviation may need no surgery.
Septoplasty targets the internal septum; external shape or valve problems may need septorhinoplasty. Filler can camouflage some shape differences but does not correct the airway and carries serious vascular, skin-injury and vision-loss risks. Surgery depends on examination, functional concerns and expectations. Lifelong unchanged results or perfect symmetry should not be promised.
The plan depends on the extent of surgery, skin, breathing and previous procedures. Consultation covers expectations, alternatives, bleeding, infection, scarring and possible further surgery. Recovery instructions must reflect your surgeon's individual plan.
Heavy bleeding, increasing pain with fever, visual changes or sudden deterioration require urgent assessment. Tell your surgeon about persistent concerns rather than waiting for the next routine appointment.
